Multi Award Winning Cottontown Chorus struts its stuff

A feature packed a cappella concert on the 4th of July St John’s Minster Preston

Bolton, 24rd of June 2015: The Cottontown Chorus is a registered charity with the aim of providing a platform for men of all ages and backgrounds to access high quality coaching and regularly sing. It is always a pleasure for the chorus to put on a concert and display the high standard performance they consistently achieve. 50% of proceeds of this concert go to Preston Minster.

The Cottontown Chorus is a competition chorus, as well as having an eclectic and entertaining repertoire, they also compete annually in the British Association of Barbershop Singers annual convention. The hard work and dedication of the members is evident by being placed top three consistently for the past 14 years.

“We are always delighted to put on a show and the chorus has performed in some wonderful venues all over the UK and the world. But there is nothing quite as special as being able to perform in such a special venue as St John’s Minster in Preston. We have a varied and entertaining repertoire, from classics to more modern arrangements with some surprises thrown in for good measure.  We sing 4 part unaccompanied harmonies and the great thing about singing in a prestigious place such as the Minster is the ability to let what we do ring out…“ Neil Firth – Musical Director explained

The show starts at 7:30 pm on the 4th of July and tickets cost £10 available on the door or in advance at (Limited tickets remain)
